Scholarships

Food Science and Technology scholarships are made possible through generous contributions that recognize and encourage academic and professional achievement.  Food Science and Technology scholarships are awarded each academic year through an application process that opens each spring. Scholarship recipients are announced in April.  The scholarship recipients are selected by the Departmental Scholarship Committee.  

American Association of Candy Technologists Scholarship

One or more scholarship(s) awarded to food science students with a demonstrated interest in confectionery science.

Joe W. Andrews Scholarship

Scholarship awarded to a food science student of good academic standing with an expressed interest in dairy food science.

John C. Ayres Scholarship

One or more scholarship(s) awarded to food science students based on academic achievement, college extra-curricular activities and a demonstrated desire to pursue a career in food science.

Dr. Manjeet S. Chinnan Graduate Student Support

One or more scholarship(s) awarded to Griffin bound food science students to participate in national and/or international professional scientific meetings, seminars, and workshops.

John J. and Irene T. Powers Scholarship

One or more scholarship(s) awarded to graduate students based on academic achievement and leadership.

Dr. Morrison and Genevieve Loewenstein Scholarship

Scholarship is awarded to a graduate or undergraduate food science student of good academic standing with an expressed interest in the field of dairy food science.

Tedford/Tellico Inc. Agriculture Scholarship

One or more scholarship(s) awarded to food science students based on academic achievement and demonstrated financial need. Recipient must demonstrate exceptional skill in written and oral communication.

Toledo Graduate Student Support

Scholarship is awarded to a graduate food science student with a desire to conduct research in food processing and preservation with an emphasis on chemistry, microbiology or engineering.
