Description of Research Interests

Dr. Reyes is a Chemical Engineer with expertise in project engineering, vegetable processing, and fruit juice and beverage processing. His research focuses on: 1) enzyme catalysis at high pressure in aqueous and organic media, as well as in ionic liquids; 2) development of amperometric enzyme biosensors for food and agriculture; and 3) metabolomic profiling for early detection of foodborne and plant pathogens.
