In June 2024, Stephanie (formerly Barnes) Brown completed her doctoral degree in animal science (with a concentration in food microbiology and safety) from the University of Connecticut. I also started a new position as a state specialized extension agent in food science at the University of Florida that same month.
Wayne Wallis (BS Food Science, ‘77; MS Food Science, ‘80; DVM ‘83) retired this past September from private veterinary practice after 41 years. He plans to enjoy traveling, veterinary mission work, his 10 grandkids and (as of recently) his first great grandchild.
