"I worked with Rich Products as their Global R&D intern. Through this internship, I worked on improving the functionality of plant-based cheese. I learnt so much about the process of launching a new product, R&D prototyping, minimizing processing steps and the strategies of marketing in the food industry. It was amazing to see how my contribution over the 3 months accelerated the commercialization of the products and fueled the growth of the global vegan market."

"This summer, I was a Food Design intern at Conagra Brands working to reformulate products in their Snacks Division. This experience provided me the opportunity to take a real, impactful project from ideation to creation and taught me what it means to be a product developer. It confirmed my passion for R&D and made me excited to come back to UGA and make connections between what I'm learning in the classroom and what I was able to achieve in a professional setting."

"I currently serve as the Cartersville Farmers Market intern. For the past two Market seasons, I have supported the Market Family and Market Team to expand fresh and local produce access. In collaboration with the Market Team, I coordinate the SNAP/EBT/Wholesome Wave programs to help provide fresh food for our community. It is such a blessing to support my hometown and sweet Market family, and I am thankful for the food safety experiences acquired during the internship."

"I worked as a food sales intern for Hydrite in Sunnyside, Washington at a Dairygold processing plant. I worked in CIP and sanitation and led a project in using a new soil load mapping technology to identify exactly when a system is clean and save time, water, and chemicals for the CIPs. One thing I took away from this internship was how easy it is to get contamination in a plant and how important strict sanitation is."
